Rachel took over as Chairman of the Vermont College Republicans when John Kleinhans stepped down to become Chairman of the Eastern Region in February. She is a Political Science major with a Classics minor at Middlebury College where she also writes a bi-weekly conservative column for the campus newspaper. This past summer, she worked as an intern for the Massachusetts Republican Party.
As president of the Middlebury College Republicans Rachel brought many interesting speakers to campus including Bay Buchanan, Ari Fliescher, and Pete Hegseth. Last summer she represented the Vermont College Republicans at the College Republicans National Convention. Tyler became involved in politics this past year at Lyndon State College. He has volunteered on the Kurt Wright campaign, and has traveled the state with former Chairman Kleinhans trying to recruit more young people to the Vermont College Republicans. Tyler helped organize a group of students to attend the Vermont Republican Spring Dinner, where the VCR was able to fill an entire table! Tyler also serves as the Vice Chair of the Lyndon State College Republicans and is looking to get more involved this upcoming year.

Geoffrey Peterson is currently pursuing his Master’s in Business Administration at the College of Saint Joseph in Rutland, VT. He received his Bachelor’s in Politics from Oberlin College in 2008 where he was Senior Class President. He has worked for U.S. Congressman John E. Peterson from Pennsylvania in Washington, D.C. and the Pennsylvania House of Representatives Republican Caucus in Harrisburg, PA. He is currently an Americorps Volunteer in Service to America at the College of Saint Joseph and plans on being the President of the United States, someday.

Amber Hartman

Amber Hartman is a Junior Physical Therapy major at Lyndon State College and an at large representative for the Vermont College Republicans. She has attended events such as the Vermont Spring Dinner, and the Young Republican National Federation (YRNF) convention. Amber believes in small government, lower taxes and is a supporter of GOP 2.0.

Greg has considered himself a conservative ever since he started paying taxes at the tender age of 16. He is studying to attain a bachelor’s degree in nursing from the University of Vermont which he will finish in 2011. Greg believes in fiscal responsibility through low taxes and consumerism as well as the preservation of individual liberties. Greg is a member of the College Republicans at the University of Vermont where he constantly strives to find new ways to spread the messages of freedom and liberty.
